Live freely with no expectations, value who you are be of service to others and make a difference. This is the mission of The Beyond Group, which is a deliberate initiative founded with the intention to help others access, aspire and achieve the “art of living.” With over 30 years experience in the fashion and journalism industry, Gilda Rogers, CEO of The Beyond Group is a Renaissance woman, who values people and thrives on being of service to others. The author of “Arrested Development: The State of Black Achievement and Education in Hip-Hop America,” Gilda understands that life is not about creating yourself, but rather recreating oneself. As an author, award-winning journalist, educator, business woman, interior decorator and community activist, Gilda sees the endless possibilities in the clients she works with. This foresight allows her to recognize and elevate her client’s highest potential. To extract what it is from life that your heart desires, you must first believe that you are worthy, then you must be well-groomed mentally, physically, spiritually and fashionably, of course, to attract those life-altering opportunities. The Beyond Group is in the business of moving clients from the mundane ho-hum world to the awesome realm of abundance. That’s hard work. However, most people never reach that level because they truly don’t believe in themselves, lack the patience to stay focused and are ill-equipped with the knowledge to take them to the next level. This is what The Beyond Group specializes in and that is taking you to the next level! With a strong sense of community, Gilda avails herself and is passionate about working with young people, our most vulnerable citizens. This led her to the field of education, which gives her the opportunity to teach as an adjunct history professor at Brookdale Community College. Gilda takes pride in redirecting those young minds who have been misled by misinformation and opening the closed minds of others. The question that Gilda Rogers puts forth to her students is this: “Either you’re part of the problem or you’re part of the solution, which one are you?” “I am My Own Second Opinion,” is the next book that Gilda is currently writing to help others, especially young people recognize that you must think highly of yourself to get to where you want to go. The people who influenced the ideas and life of Gilda Rogers that translated into the inspiration behind The Beyond Group are: Helen Adams, her grandmother, who taught her to live fearlessly and her mother, Jeanne, who showed her it was important to have fun along the way. Author, Richard Wright, planted the seed in Gilda that “words are powerful,” and gave birth to her voice. For the others like Amiri Baraka, Maya Angelou, Elie Wiesel, W.E.B. DuBois, Fannie Lou Hamer, poetic Goddess Nikki Giovanni, fashion designer Willie Smith, the golfer, Payne Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, German Philosopher, Immanuel Kant, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and Maxwell, Malcolm X and Rev. Dr. Therman Evans, Gilda bids a resounding thank-you for being the wind beneath her wings. Peace |
